NGO Activities : This Arsha Bharathi Social Welfare Society was established as a voluntary organization during 1999. Our main aim is to serve the poorest human beings and children by promoting social awareness and removing stigma of poverty. Besides taking up several family welfare activities, conducting medical and health camps in rural areas since past Ten years, the society is striving its best to educate women and small farmers on income generation programmes. We are making efforts to establish residential instructions with vocational courses, adult education centers, libraries for girls of rural and slum areas to sensitize the downtrodden sections of society. This could be possible due to having good rapport with government departments and local community. This organization is planning to foster secularism and harmony among people through development programmes. Our endeavour is to ensure sustainable development, harmony, peace, and make the people self-reliant. We mainly focused on awareness programme on different local issues, few are illustrated here under • Consumer awareness camp • HIV/AIDS awareness camp • Income generation training • Special camp for adolescent girls of tribal areas. • Free tailoring training • Organic farming to small farmers • Adult education programme • Literacy awareness programme • Anti Arrack campaign • Pulse Polio camp • Health and Blood camp • Nutrition food to child labour • General awareness camp • Seminar against dowry, child and widow marriages • Shields to merit students • Clean and green programme at Medaram • Free eye and medical Camp • Chickengunya prevention programme • Cultural programmes for rural youth • Note books to poor students of SC & BC hostels. This society consists of mainly social workers, small land owners and philanthropists engaged in upliftment of rural weaker sections of this mandal. The objective of protecting the just born kids thrown in dustbins, railways and bus stations etc., Freed those neglected kids by curbing education will be fulfilled if the proposed institutions are built, for which land is being procured from government. Already necessary help is extending to physically handicapped, widows, orphans and senior citizens. As a part of our aims, we are celebrating national festivals like Independence day, Republic day, Birthday celebrations of great leaders who sacrificed their lives to nation like Rajiv Gandhi and celebrated Hindidiwas fortnight pakwara on 25.09.06 and distributed prizes to the winners in examination conducted in Hindi to students of local high school. This Society has organized 150 years First War of Indian Independence celebration. The beneficiaries of our training programmes are encouraging this society to conduct such income generation courses for some other rural youth. In our training programmes, local officials and resourceful persons were assisting and delivering their valuable suggestions to participants. In a year, the society is making efforts to construct own educational institutions at Abdullapue village, R.R dist to commence full-fledged orphan center, old aged home, vocational training institute and research institute to serve more voluntarily.
